September News

What a month this has been! We’ve been so busy with everything, we’ve had to look up and see where we were a couple times. We go the video shoot done with Brandon Jones films and can’t wait to share the video and song, “I Take Drives” out October 18th! However, we actually shot two more videos with the folks at Sit N Spin, one for an upcoming release, “Put Your Twang Into It” and one for “Wherever You’re Going”. We’ll be sharing those before too long.
Winner!!!! Thank you for all the support in helping me win the September Carolina Artist Showdown! How cool is that to win back to back months! Thank you!!!
Huge shoot out to the SC Botanical Garden for inviting me to play! Its such a cool venue, the crowd sat in the rain with me, and we had a really nice evening.
Nothing like playing the Esso! No power, no problem. We took our generator and played the afternoon away like everything was normal!
Dad and I took a week and went camping, and remembered how much we miss a little downtime, were building some more of that into the 2025 schedule.
We’ve begun booking for ’25 so let those venues know and let us know what doors we should be knocking on.
October is going to be action packed as well!
-Denver Downs Oct 4th
-Greenville Country Music Festival Oct 19th
-HP Porchfest Oct 20th
- IPI Fest Oct 26th
-City of Pickens Oct 26th
-Josie Awards Oct 27th
Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone impacted Helene.

August News
This has indeed been another whirlwind of a month! As wearing as the schedule can be, its fans that make it worth it! Thank you!
Venues
We’ve played some very cool new spots this month, hanging off the side off the mountain at Beech Mountain Club, Flynn’s On Maxwell in Greenwood, Steddy’s in Easley, with a few news ones to come!
-Bodega Noir, Landrum – 8/26
-Dowtown Alive, Greenville – 8/29
-Magnetic South, Anderson – 8/30
-And we’ve added a few new venues to the schedule too:
-SC Botanical Gardens – 9/24
-Denver Downs – 10/4
-Wildwing Café – 12/6
-Ink-N-Ivy – 12/28
New Music
-Thank you for streaming Dog Days of Summer! It’s performing really well.
-Old Soul- my song to my grandpa releases 8/30
-Drunk Words Are Sober Thoughts will release 9/29
-We’ll begin filming our first “real” music video for I Take Drives on 9/8 and release is planned for -10/17 to coincide with playing the Greenville Country Music Festival
-And were working on “Put Your Twang In To It” for release in December
Social Media
-Thank you for your support in winning the Gimme the Gig for downtown alive! Again, these things aren’t possible without your support! Thank you!
-We’ve got one more and the competition is tough, and it’s a David and Goliath moment/ battle. The Carolina Artist Showdown is a big deal and draws a lot of Nashville attention. As a matter of fact, the competitor I’m facing is a Nashville based group, with a Broadway residency. It’s a big hill to climb for a young artist here in the Carolina hills. It’s going to be close all the way to the finish, and I’ll need every bit of help I can get! Voting continues until August 31st!

July News
Man has it been hot! And we so appreciate everyone that braved the heat and cheered me on. Can’t say enough good things about the guys that make up the Wildcards either. These guys are not only top shelf musicians, but they are some of the best people you’ll ever meet. They have jobs, and families, and lives outside of LDM, and they continue to give time and talent and teach. Thanks to each of them!
Sean Oshields – pedal steel and guitar
Matt Phillps- lead guitar
Charlie Garcia – Bass
Mike Brown – Drums
THANK YOU GENTLEMEN!
Our hearts are heavy, and prayers are with the Patrick family. Joe Patrick is picking in that great angel band, but part of him will always live on in Luke’s music. Joe and Dan’l met many years ago and pickin’ gatherings and became the closest of friends. Joe was so encouraging of Luke from a very young age, it was not unlikely for the two of them to still be playing and singing til the wee hours of the morning, from the time Luke was 9 or 10 years old. The Luke Deuce song WB4RGO was written for Joe, and Joe’s guitar Dan’l built him was serial no. WB4RGO. This was Joe’s ham radio call sign.
NEW MUSIC
An EP will release on Aug 2nd titled the “Dog Days of Summer” it has two tracks on it
Why Do Today- Deuce/Nichols/Maxson written about putting it off til tomorrow.
Good Enough For You- Deuce/ Maher written about the struggle and decision to pursue music.
If You Dig It continues to grow in popularity, thank you!
SOCIAL MEDIA
Help Wanted! Beginning August 1-31st I will have a link posted on my FB for voting in Carolina Country Music contest. My song Lake Day Sunsets will be played at three radio stations along the coast of the Carolinas during August, and voting will take place on FB. Every vote counts every day!
VIDEO
Yep, will be finalizing plans in August for an early September filming on the upcoming release “I Take Drives” It’ll be the first “real” music video for LDM, and we’re super excited. We are so grateful for everyone coming together to make this possible.
WHEELS
Gertrude our faithful white band van has been sold, and in its place, we have a new ramp gate trailer. It’s allowing us more room for gear and the ramp is saving our backs! Also to note, its tall enough inside for Luke to walk around!
Thank you to the new venue- The Wine Fountain, in Fountain Inn. Please check them out, great people and super cool venue!

May News

The past month has flown by so fast. It’s been so cool with all that’s going on!

The SC Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame was a night that will never be forgotten. To be honored as the first recipient of the “Rising Star” award….well…as you’d imagine, it was both humbling and overwhelming. Meeting all the inductees backstage, was a treat for sure!
It was also incredible to be at the Trueline groundbreaking that morning with the inductees.
I want to thank everyone for the help with social media growth, those likes, shares and follows are showing up and making a difference!

Luke also received word that he has been nominated for the “Rising Star” for the Josie awards. The Josie Awards are the highest award globally for an independent artist. He’ll walk the red carpet at the Country Music Hall of Fame in October, of course we have our fingers crossed, but just being a nominee is an incredible honor.

Luke will also be a contestant in August with his song “Lake Day Sunsets” in Carolina County Music Assco. competition. His song along with 3 others will air on radio stations along the coast of both Carolinas, and big listened to by music industry executives. There will also be a fan favorite piece that you can vote in, and we’ll get that info out as well.

New Music- the hits just keep coming!

March 2024
Spring is here and we’ve been able to play outside with the WILDCARDS! This past weekend at the Silos was phenomenal! It was also the first time we got to bring out the light show!
New Music-
Thanks everyone for giving “Calling It Your Job, Don’t Make It Right” a stream, it’s a fun song that continues to gain traction!
The next release is on 3/29 “Slow Motion Things” this is the song I wrote after my wreck. Its about that feeling of being in slow motion.
The song behind that will be “Wherever You’re Going” (that’s where I’ll be). I’m really proud of this song, it took a long time to write it, but I’m very proud of the way it turned out.
We’re sending 3 new songs to the studio this week for upcoming releases, and I’ve just finished the bass track for “Old Soul” I wrote for my papa. So there’s a ton of new music coming your way!
April 6th- immediately following the Spring Game, the Wildcards and I will be at the ESSO CLUB!
April 6th – we’ll also be at our monthly show at Smiley’s on the Roxx later that evening!
April 23rd - I’ll be back at the singer/ songwriter event, Song For Survivors. The benefit is a fundraiser for the Pickens County Advocacy Center. I hope you’ll consider lending a hand.
April 25th- I’ll be involved with the SC Music Hall of Fame event, performing and receiving a recognition. I’m both honored and humbled to be noticed.
New Venues-

From the bottom of our hearts, we appreciate all the venues that let us play and the fans that come out and support not only us but the venues as well. Without you, this pursuit would only be a dream, your support and encouragement continue to help make this a reality!
Thank you from the Luke Deuce and the entire team!
PS- be on the lookout for a new article in the Post and Courier!

Feb 2024
Just Getting Started!
Took a much-needed weekend off and am so grateful for the time. Things are going to move quickly from here!
New Music-
You bet! This Truck released 2/9 and I sure appreciate the streams and listens! There are so many songs in process its hard to keep up!
3/8 Calling It Your Job will release. It’s a reference to personal experience and a throw back to the movie Cool Hand Luke!
3/29 Slow Motion Things will release. I guess this is the sequel to this This Truck. It’s about the wreck I experienced in November.
The other songs are showing up on my Patreon site. If you want those sneak peaks and to hear the songs early, www.patreon.com/LukeDeuceMusic
Nashville-
Dad and I have made one trip to Nashville this month, with another one planned for the end of the month. One the last trip Brian Maher and I wrote two songs again!
Schedule-
Don’t forget the website has the most up to date and accurate schedule for shows! We are continuing to add dates and are excited about the venues we are playing!
Shows-
I’ll be at the Pint Station and Amici in Easley both before the month is out. And don’t forget about opening for Aaron Tippin 2/24!

Jan 2024

Happy New Year!

2024 has certainly started off bumpier than anticipated. The pillar and patriarch of our family, Luke’s grandfather, passed away very unexpectedly. We are truly overwhelmed by the outpouring of condolences and love for our family. Pop was, and always will be, a big part of who Luke is. There are many references to him in Luke’s songs and I imagine that trend will continue as Luke continues. Thank you for every hug, and every prayer, they have been a peace and comfort.
Bookings-
Wow! Thank you all for showing up and showing out in 2023! Because bookings have been great for 2024! Many new venues on the schedule, as well as some of your favorites! You showing up is what makes folks want Luke Deuce back, and we’re so grateful for it!
Schedule-
The schedule will be available on the website this year and not on FB. The problem is that FB limits the number of followers seeing a bus accounts event, unless we’re paying FB for exposure. And its one more place to try and maintain the correct information. We’ll continue to do monthly, weekly and performance posts, but for looking ahead, the website will be best.
Nashville-
Visits continue with 2 planned in February. We’ll be posting those dates in the schedule as well, as soon as we have them.
Releases-
7 new songs in process! So you’ll be hearing new music regularly! The latest release is doing very, very well! Thanks for streaming it! It will spin on Sterling Country Radio in Texas starting 1/16/24!
“More Than I Can Ask For”
Shows-
This weekend will wrap up January’s shows. We’re going to take the last weekend off and chill….just chill!
But with that said,
Friday night will be Luke’s 500th show! He’ll play the early show at Smiley’s 6:30-9:30
500 shows = 1500 hours on stage = 62.5 DAYS on stage! Pretty remarkable considering he was in high school for almost all of that!
Saturday will be a full band show at a new venue downtown!
Sharky’s Pub we’ll kick things off at 9:30!
PS- Found out tonight were going back to chrome night, May 22nd!!!

Changes are coming, and there will be more venues to perform at. Here's what to expect:

Writing:
I will continue to write and produce music from Nashville, and will release as many songs as possible.

Schedule:
The best way to keep track of my schedule is through my website. Although I will post on social media, Facebook events only reach a small number of followers unless we "boost" the events. We will pin the schedule for each month on social media, but the website will be the main calendar for everyone.
